College Football Playoff expansion: CFP makes decision opposing expansion
The College Football Playoff is not expanding any time soon.
That is per a Friday report from Nicole Auerbach with The Athletic. According to Auerbach’s report, the CFP has decided against expanding during the current contract.
That means the CFP will remain at 4 teams through 2025 with the 2026 season the earliest the Playoff may expand.
