The College Football Playoff committee will be meeting pretty soon to discuss further expansion of the format.

According to Executive Director Bill Hancock, the committee is set to meet on Dec. 1, and that they all need to make a decision by the end of the year in order to have a bigger format in place by 2024.

There were already meetings the last couple of days about expansion, which included all 10 FBS commissioners, and a few others.

One of the main reasons for having this wrapped up by January is the host of these big games, and bowls as well.

“We need to get this done by January in fairness to (future) championship game hosts and the bowls,” CFP executive director Bill Hancock says.
