There wasn’t much controversy surrounding this year’s College Football Playoff selection show. With things playing out perfectly, the committee’s selection of the four teams was pretty cut and dry.

Where those teams ranked, however, is what made life a little difficult.

Ohio State, LSU and Clemson all finished the season with 13-0 records and claimed their respective conference titles. With Clemson lacking the quality wins that Ohio State and LSU has, it was easy to put the defending champs in that No. 3 spot. The real debate came down to Ohio State and LSU.

Ultimately,  won that argument, taking the top spot in the College Football Playoff. And now, we officially now the College Football Playoff matchups:

  • Peach Bowl: No. 1 LSU vs. No. 4 Oklahoma
  • Fiesta Bowl: No. 2 Ohio State vs. No. 3 Clemson

It should be a lot of fun.
