College Football Playoff rankings, Nov. 14: New No. 1 bumps Ohio State after Week 11
The College Football Playoff rankings have been updated as we hit Week 12 of the college football season! Moving forward, there are just 2 regular-season games on the slate before we hit Championship Weekend across the country.
Through 11 weeks of the season, there are still 5 undefeated teams from the ranks of the Power 5 conferences, including 2 in the B1G. Michigan and Ohio State will of course face off in The Game in Week 13.
At the end of the day, there is still a chance the CFP committee gets a straightforward field with 4 undefeated conference champions. However, Rivalry Week or Championship Weekend is always possible to provide some chaos to the status quo.
As for Week 12, Ohio State had opened the CFP rankings with two weeks at the top of the poll, but the committee has bumped the Buckeyes in the latest edition. Despite a big win over Michigan State, Ohio State slid behind Georgia with the Bulldogs posting back-to-back ranked wins.
