The initial College Football Playoff Rankings are out!

Like most things in 2020, the college football season has been a weird one from top to bottom. The B1G has just completed Week 5 heading into Thanksgiving, a truly odd position to be in at this point in the year.

Regardless of the late start, the conference has two teams with strong performances and undefeated records in Ohio State and Northwestern. While the Buckeyes continue to be on a collision course with the B1G Championship game and appear headed toward the Playoff, it remains to be seen how much credit the Wildcats will get if they continue to post an undefeated record.

Indiana and Wisconsin are also among strong one-loss teams, though the Badgers are in a bad spot with the cancellation of Saturday’s game against Minnesota. That means Wisconsin will sit at 2-1 and has seen three games canceled this season, eliminating the team from contention for the B1G Championship.

As we get set for Week 6 in the B1G and a holiday weekend, here is how the initial CFP Rankings looked on Tuesday evening:
