College Football Playoff rankings: Top four remains unchanged
Week 12 featured some intense action and close scares around the B1G.
No. 4 Michigan and No. 10 Ohio State entered last weekend as the only teams in the conference with a legitimate shot at the Playoff. With both teams likely looking forward to The Game this weekend, the Wolverines and Buckeyes struggled to closer than expected wins last weekend.
Ohio State needed overtime to dispatch of upset-minded Maryland 52-51. Anthony McFarland of the Terrapins rushed for 289 yards and nearly propelled the team to an improbable upset.
For Michigan, the Wolverines were less explosive in a game against Indiana. Stevie Scott of the Hoosiers rushed for 139 yards while Michigan outscored Indiana 16-3 in the second half to secure the win. Elsewhere around the conference, Penn State and Northwestern were other ranked teams that won.
