College football rankings: ESPN ranks remaining 21 undefeated teams entering Week 5
And then there were 21. ESPN recently ranked the remaining unbeaten teams in college football. The B1G conference has four teams left without a loss.
The list is as follows:
1. Georgia Bulldogs
2. Alabama Crimson Tide
3. Ohio State Buckeyes
4. Michigan Wolverines
5. Clemson Tigers
6. Tennessee Volunteers
7. Oklahoma State Cowboys
8. Ole Miss Rebels
9. Penn State Nittany Lions
10. Minnesota Golden Gophers
11. USC Trojans
12. Kentucky Wildcats
13. NC State Wolfpack
14. Washington Huskies
15. Florida State Seminoles
16. UCLA Bruins
17. TCU Horned Frogs
18. Kansas Jayhawks
19. James Madison Dukes
20. Syracuse Orange
21. Coastal Carolina Chanticleers
Probably little surprise near the top, including conference foes Ohio State and Michigan. Early props to head coach P.J. Fleck and Minnesota. The Golden Gophers are 4-0 after blowout victories over Colorado and Michigan State. Fleck is a solid 39-23 (.629) since becoming Minnesota’s head coach in 2017.
Things have also gone well in Happy Valley. The Nittany Lions are off to a 4-0 start after going a mediocre 7-6 a season ago. Penn State could be on a collision course with Ohio State to determine who plays for the B1G Championship in December.
