College football rankings: Football Power Index updated following Week 5 slate
The college football season is flying by.
We’re already through Week 5 and top 25 teams seem to be going down left and right. It would surely make it tough to be an AP voter, but the computer numbers already have their rankings heading into Week 6.
The B1G has 5 teams in the top 25: Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Minnesota and Maryland. There are also some surprise inclusions such as Texas at No. 6 and LSU at No. 8.
Ohio State seemed to close the gap with Alabama and Georgia this week. Alabama looked human for moments against Arkansas and Georgia flat out struggled to put Mizzou away.
ESPN’s FPI (Football Power Index) updated its Top 25 after an exciting week of college football.
