The college football transfer portal is rolling on with the first week of 2023 in the books.

Monday night, the 2022 college football season will officially reach its conclusion. With New Year’s Day well behind us, TCU and Georgia will face off for the national championship in Los Angeles.

While the transfer portal is likely to see more entries and departures following Monday’s game, 247Sports has updated rankings for every player currently in the portal.

According to the 247 Sports Transfer Portal rankings, there are currently eight players in the portal with a 4-star transfer rating. That group is headlined by wide receiver Dante Cephas out of Kent State.

Cephas was originally a 3-star prospect out of Pittsburgh in the 2019 recruiting class before recording over 2,100 yards receiving in his career with the Golden Flashes. He is currently receiving crystal ball projections to transfer to Penn State.

Other players receiving 4-star transfer ratings per 247 Sports are Virginia QB Brennan Armstrong and Iowa WR Arland Bruce IV. Here are the top players in the portal as of Jan. 7, per 247 Sports (previous program and transfer rating listed):
