For the second straight week, Wisconsin has been forced to cancel a scheduled game due to the coronavirus. The No. 10 Badgers will not play Purdue on Saturday, Nov. 7 as a result of an ongoing COVID-19 outbreak within its program.

Wisconsin was forced to cancel their game with Nebraska scheduled for Oct. 31 because of coronavirus. Since the Big Ten is playing a condensed eight-game regular season format with no bye-weeks, the game with the Boilermakers will not be made up.
The announcement from the school Tuesday brought widespread reaction from social media.

Wisconsin cancels Saturday’s game with Purdue.
Zero margin for error from hereon out for Wisconsin. The Badgers can’t have another game canceled – either by themselves or the opponent – and still play in the Big Ten title game. https://t.co/jdED3pP45E

Wisconsin-Purdue is off, per Wisconsin release. Badgers down to six regular-season games. At best.

Clearly, something went wrong with Wisconsin's COVID protocols. No way should a team doing rapid-response testing every day get to 27 active cases.

Wisconsin is still eligible for the division title at six games. One more cancellation and it's done.

Wisconsin's game against Purdue this week has been canceled. Assuming other teams in the Big Ten play eight games, the Badgers cannot have any more games canceled to remain eligible for the Big Ten Championship Game. https://t.co/N3gxud2J03
