College GameDay is closing out the year in B1G country.

Next week, the popular ESPN pre-game show is headed to Columbus for the monumental B1G East showdown between Michigan (10-1, 8-0) and Ohio State (10-1, 7-1).

There’s a lot more than bragging rights at stake this season, as the winner will claim the division title and will head to Indianapolis for the B1G Championship Game. “The Game” will also have major College Football Playoff implications.

College GameDay made the announcement Saturday night.

Ohio State has dominated the head-to-head rivalry series recently, winning six straight games over Michigan. It has also won 13 of the last 14 matchups.

The Buckeyes have never lost the rivalry game since Urban Meyer’s arrival in 2012. Jim Harbaugh is 0-3 in the series and is also searching for his first division title since taking over in Ann Arbor.

Michigan still leads all-time series 58-49-6.

With so much at stake, it’s hard to argue against College GameDay’s decision to conclude the regular season in Columbus.
