No. 2 Alabama will host No. 1 LSU in what figures to be one of the top games of the season let alone of Week 11. The Crimson Tide and Tigers will both be 8-0 but not only will undefeated records be on the line next Saturday, this game will likely determine the winner of the SEC West. The loser could also potentially be eliminated from the College Football Playoff race.
Although it was likely an easy choice to head to Tuscaloosa, it does mean that Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck will be very disappointed. The No. 13 Golden Gophers will be hosting No. 5 Penn State in the top matchup of the B1G that weekend. Both of those teams are also undefeated at 8-0.
Last week, Fleck was lobbying for College GameDay to come to his school for the first time in history. Minnesota hasn’t been ranked as high as No. 13 since 2004.
