In the second week of the season, College GameDay will be covering a B1G matchup.
Saturday night, ESPN’s popular pregame show announced it will be heading to Ames to highlight a Top 25 showdown between No. 18 Iowa and No. 7 Iowa State. It will be the first time featuring a B1G program this season.
Last week, the College GameDay crew was in Charlotte for the showdown between No. 5 Georgia and No. 3 Clemson. The Bulldogs won a defensive battle against the Tigers 10-3.
Both Iowa and Iowa State are 1-0 heading into next week’s in-state rivalry bout. The Hawkeyes cruised to a 34-6 victory over No. 17 Indiana at Kinnick Stadium. Iowa State struggled with FCS foe Northern Iowa, escaping with a 16-10 win.

The last meeting was an 18-17 victory for Iowa in Ames in 2019. The two teams did not meet last season because of the pandemic.
Kickoff for next week’s game is set for 4:30 p.m. ET with the game airing on ABC.
