Saturday’s tussle in Madison is bound to be a good one.

Wisconsin has looked good so far this season with one lone close game thus far. The Badgers struggled when Northwestern came to town but have rolled nearly every other time they have stepped on the field.

Taking on the Badgers this week is Michigan State. Though the Spartans have struggled on both sides of the ball this year, Mark Dantonio’s squad traditionally plays well after a loss and is a tough out.

The College GameDay crew broke down the matchup Saturday morning, and David Pollack actually sees a potential upset in store:

“I think so…I liked what I saw from Lewerke, and I like what I’ve seen from him this season,” said Pollack. “You look at his numbers last week, and it wasn’t pretty at all, but he’s making some tough throws. First of all, it’s tough to throw off your back with all the pressure from Ohio State, but I feel like that offense is coming along. And here’s the thing: I don’t know about Wisconsin’s offense yet. I know what the running back is, I know Taylor’s a freak show…I think Michigan State can make a few more plays through the air.”

However, Pollack was alone in that assessment. Kirk Herbstreit does see a tough game in store for the Badgers, but he thinks they come away with a hard-fought victory:

“With Jack Coan, he’s got receivers. They’re just being very careful with him,” explained Herbstreit. “He’s completing 74% of his passes. I’m with you, this is a LOW scoring game. Michigan State doesn’t usually show up and not play very well after a loss I just don’t know if they have the offensive balance…I think Wisconsin will win but it will be very close.”
