College GameDay was live from Eugene, Oregon for Week 7 ahead of the Game of the Week in the country. That game includes Ohio State traveling to face Oregon in a matchup that could ignite a rivalry of epic proportions in the new Big Ten.

Previously nonconference foes from the Pac-12 and B1G, this year’s game will be the first between the Ducks and Buckeyes as conference rivals. It’s a game that will shape the conference race to Indianapolis the rest of the way, and the winner will have a legitimate claim to the No. 1 spot in the AP Poll.

When it comes to the picks for the big game, GameDay was decidedly split. Here is how the crew and guest picker Kaitlin Olson previewed the game:

Kirk Herbstreit: Ohio State. “It’s hard to go against that Ohio State. I’m going with Ohio State and Chip Kelly.”

Desmond Howard: Oregon. “I picked the Oregon Ducks to win the national championship, too. and damnit I’m sticking with the Ducks.

Nick Saban: Ohio State. “I think Ohio State has shown they’re one of the best teams in the country so far. I love Dan Lanning but I’m going with Ohio State.”

Pat McAfee: Oregon. “No doubt about it. No doubt about it!”

Kaitlin Olson: Oregon. “Guys, this is my college. This is my place. I love it here… Oregon Ducks all the way.”
