ESPN’s College GameDay crew was live from Penn State to preview all the action in Week 11. That includes what shapes up to be a defensive struggle for the ages in Iowa City.

Heading into the game, the matchup for Rutgers vs. Iowa includes a point total set at 27.5. Rece Davis mentioned that is the lowest for a game since 2000.

While every analyst expects the defensive battle to live up to that billing, the crew was unanimous in predicting Iowa to prevail when it’s all said and done. Here is what they had to say about the game:

Desmond Howard: Iowa. “I watched Rutgers last week against Ohio State, they played very very well… A low-scoring game, Iowa wins by a FG.”

Pat McAfee: Iowa. “Yeah, that might be the only points scored in that entire game… but Tory Taylor, punter for Iowa, is going to lead them to a dub.”

Nolan Smith: Iowa. “Iowa has a good team up front, and they’re just like the Georgia Bulldogs, they play good defense, and I like Iowa.”

Lee Corso: Iowa. “Iowa wins at home, the game is made all field goals. 9-6.”

Kirk Herbstreit. Iowa. “I think the defense carries the day, and Tory Taylor who obviously Pat touched on, he will get the game ball. He’ll affect the field position… give me Iowa.”
