Tennessee handled business easily against its non-conference opponent Akron, defeating the Zips 63-6. Florida got by South Florida in the late minutes of Saturday’s game, winning 31-28 after a touchdown put the Gators ahead in the fourth quarter.

The rivalry between the Vols and Gators has gone Florida’s way for most of this century and Tennessee hasn’t won since 2016, but for the first time in years Tennessee is the favorite heading into the game.

The last time College Gameday went to Knoxville was for the Florida game in 2016. That year was also the last time the Vols were 3-0 heading into Florida. It’s safe to say there are a lot of coincidences on Tennessee’s side.

The matchup between the Vols and the Gators will be a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on CBS.
