The first three weeks of the college football season have come and gone and for much of the Big Ten, it was a beginning to forget.
No. 4 Ohio State and No. 10 Penn State have enjoyed the first few weeks, but teams like No. 18 Wisconsin, No. 19 Michigan and No. 24 Michigan State would like a re-do. Regardless, the show must go on and we’re only three weeks in.
There’s a lot of football to be played. And here we are, with Week 4.
ESPN’s College GameDay helps get us in the mood each Saturday morning and the crew goes around picking some of the more intriguing games throughout the day. The guest picker — who will be picking games with the analysts in Eugene, Ore. for the Oregon-Stanford matchup — is Tim Matheson.
Matheson was in the movie Animal House, which featured Oregon’s campus.
Here are who the crew and Matheson picked on Saturday:
Kirk Herbstreit: Michigan State beats Indiana, Iowa beats Wisconsin, Purdue beats Boston College
Desmond Howard: Michigan State beats Indiana, Wisconsin beats Iowa, Boston College beats Purdue
Lee Corso: Indiana beats Michigan State, Wisconsin beats Iowa, Boston College beats Purdue
Tim Matheson (Guest picker): Michigan State beats Indiana, Iowa beats Wisconsin, Purdue beats Boston College
