It’s a battle of the unbeaten in Week 4 between Northwestern and Purdue.

The key B1G West contest will be played at Purdue Saturday between the 3-0 Wildcats and the 2-0 Boilermakers. Jeff Brohm’s squad only has two wins due to the fact their game against Wisconsin was canceled.

A win for either team will be a great leg up in the B1G West race and will stake the winner to a neck-and-neck position with Wisconsin in the division.

During Saturday’s ESPN College GameDay, Chris “Bear” Fallica had the game on his Bear’s Board. Heading toward kickoff, the betting line is Northwestern -3, but Bear is not sold on the Wildcats.

“You can’t continue winning games relying on turnovers in the second half, being outgained with 300 yards,” said Bear. “With or without Rondale Moore, I don’t know if he’s playing or not, you would think maybe one of these weeks he’d be back. They still have David Bell, an outstanding WR, an okay quarterback.

“Brohm’s teams are good as a home dog against ranked teams, so I’m taking Purdue.”

Northwestern has yet to surrender a single point in the second half, but it will be interesting to see if the Wildcats can continue that trend. Nebraska put a lot of pressure on Pat Fitzgerald’s squad in the second half before dooming multiple drives with turnovers. It will be tough to expect similar results against a Purdue offense that has looked strong even without Rondale Moore this season.

Kickoff for the showdown is set for 5 pm EST on BTN.
