Another big step has been taken in college athletics.

On Tuesday, the University of Colorado became the first NCAA school to partner with a sports betting company. Sportico reported that Colorado came to a five-year agreement with PointsBet. The company is building its headquarters in Denver.

Sportico is reporting that the deal covers betting, fantasy sports, casino games and free-to-play contests. PointsBet will have signage at Colorado’s football stadium and basketball radio, as well as a presence during radio broadcasts.

From Sportico:

“This isn’t a deal just to get PR, this is a long-term view for both parties, and both parties had to get very comfortable with one another,” Johnny Aitken, CEO of PointsBet’s U.S. business, said in an interview. “It is centered around education and those career pathways, and being in-state, the trust factor is heightened because we’re just miles away, not a plane flight away.

Terms of the agreement were not defined by Sportico’s report.
