One of the highest-rated recruits from the class of 2019 is on the move again and has yet to appear in a collegiate game.
Antonio Alfano was a five-star defensive lineman out of New Jersey for the class of 2019. He was rated the No. 5 prospect nationally by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings and he began his career with the Crimson Tide.
After not sticking in Tuscaloosa, Alfano entered the transfer portal and transferred to Colorado. He did not appear in any of Colorado’s six games during 2020 and announced via his personal Twitter page Wednesday night that he will be entering the portal once again.
“First off let me thank the Buff community for the endless support and love you have showed me in a time of loneliness and uncertainty for a lot of people that are experiencing this in the world right now…I know I’m most likely gonna hear a lot of hate for this but I have to do what’s best for me,” wrote Alfano as a part of his announcement.

Obviously, this is not the way Alfano envisioned his career going to begin his time in college. It will be interesting to see where he lands moving forward.
