LSU’s defense wasn’t the only thing busting on Saturday afternoon. At least one television screen took a pretty good hit this weekend, as well.

Mississippi State, under new head coach Mike Leach, entered Tiger Stadium as a double-digit underdog against No. 6 LSU on Saturday. On paper, it looked like the Tigers would start the season off on the right foot and pick up where the 2019 campaign ended.

That wasn’t the case.

Bulldogs quarterback K.J. Costello threw for a record 623 yards and Mississippi State registered a 44-34 victory over LSU in Death Valley. And one passionate Tigers fan didn’t handle it very well. When the game came to a close and the score was final, the fan launched an object at a nearby television, busting the TV from its bracket and shattering the screen:

To say he didn’t handle the loss well would be a massive understatement.

The loss was disappointing for LSU, but the team is attempting to replace a lot from last year’s team and coaching staff. As great as the 2019 season was, this will still probably be a rebuilding year in Baton Rouge.

Hopefully this fan can come to grips with that soon. Otherwise, there may be even more busted TVs in the area.
