Continued slide: Clemson finds itself on the outside of the AP Poll for the first time in awhile
For the first time since 2014, when early season losses to Georgia and Florida State dropped Clemson from the national rankings, the Tigers once again find themselves without a number before their name.
The Tigers, now 3-2 on the season, held off Boston College on Saturday night to move above the .500 mark. But an overtime loss to No. 23 North Carolina State the week before, and a season opening defeat at the hands of No. 2 Georgia are scattered among their other victories.

Their 49-3 win over South Carolina is really the only highlight this season, as their 14-8 win over Georgia Tech for their remaining win was less than impressive.
The Tigers did receive 96 votes in the recent AP Poll, and will head to Syracuse on Friday, Oct. 8 to take on the Orange for a 6:00 PM kickoff.
