Damar Hamlin update: Buffalo Bills update status on safety injured during MNF

Damar Hamlin remains in serious condition following a serious incident on Monday Night Football.
A safety for the Buffalo Bills, Hamlin made a tackle on Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins. After getting up from the tackle, Hamlin collapsed on the field.
According to reports from the broadcast, Hamlin received CPR for multiple minutes on the field before getting transported to a Level 1 trauma hospital in Cincinnati. The NFL eventually postponed the rest of the game due to the incident.
Overnight, the Buffalo Bills published an update on Hamlin’s status. According to their statement, Hamlin sustained a cardiac arrest and remains in critical condition.
“Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the Bengals,” said the Bills in a statement published at 1:48 am ET Tuesday morning. “His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition.”
