There’s just one week remaining before we find out which teams are playing for a national championship. As we head into Championship Saturday, everybody is getting their latest rankings in.
College football expert Danny Kanell provided his input following the final weekend of the regular season, updating his top eight teams headed into Saturday. And his rankings are pretty standard.
Here’s how Kanell ranked the eight teams following Week 13 action:
Regular season is done!! Only championship games remain. Things could get interesting!! Here is the latest #DKtop8
1. Bama
2. Clemson3. Notre Dame
4. Georgia
5. Oklahoma
6. Ohio State
7. UCF
8. Washington— Danny Kanell (@dannykanell) November 25, 2018
That seems to be a fair ranking and will likely be very similar to what the College Football Playoff selection committee comes up with this weekend.
Maybe the biggest question will be where the committee slots UCF, which is still undefeated after a convincing win over USF. The Knights were No. 9 last week, but with Michigan, Washington State and LSU suffering losses — all ranked in the top eight — could UCF see a major bump?
That might be the most interesting debate headed into the rankings show on Tuesday.
What do you think of Kanell’s most recent rankings?
