Nebraska and Rutgers will be meeting one day earlier than originally planned this season.

Both schools announced a date change for this year’s contest in Piscataway. Instead of the Huskers and Scarlet Knights meeting on Saturday, Oct. 8, they’ll play under the lights on Friday, Oct. 7.

A kickoff time has not yet been announced for the October matchup.

Nebraska and Rutgers have played five times with the Huskers winning every meeting. The most recent contest was held at SHI Stadium in December 2020 to close out the pandemic-shortened season.

Nebraska won the game 28-21.

The Huskers and Scarlet Knights have played four times since both teams joined the B1G. The 2020 meeting was the only game Nebraska did not win by double digits.
