Day 1 of B1G Baseball Tournament postponed due to inclement weather
Rain, rain go away, the B1G wants to see its baseball tournament get underway.
Despite the conference’s best efforts, Wednesday will not be the first day of the B1G Baseball Tournament this year. Inclement weather in the Omaha area has postponed the opening round of this year’s event.
The conference released a statement just before 3 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
“Bad news, #B1GBaseball fans… Due to the threat of inclement weather, today’s games are officially postponed,” the league said on Twitter. “We appreciate your patience as we continue to work through the rescheduling process.”

On Tuesday, the B1G announced that it was pushing the morning games into the evening because of weather concerns. Now, the first day has been postponed completely.
Right now, it’s unclear how the conference will continue to move forward with the tournament. The B1G plans to release more information on the rescheduling process soon.
