Two of the best defensive ends at pressuring the quarterback reside in the state of Michigan.

Pro Football Focus recently released a list of the Top 4 defensive ends in college football in terms of getting pressure on the quarterback. Michigan State’s Jacub Panasiuk was leading the way, with Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson just a few spots down at No. 4.

According to PFF, Panasiuk has registered 45 pressures through the first 7 games of the season for the Spartans. Hutchinson’s total is at 30 through 6 contests. Both MSU and UM are undefeated.

Occupying the No. 2 and No. 3 spots on the list are Will Anderson’s Jr from Alabama (35) and Mike Tafua out of Utah (33).

Panasiuk and Hutchinson are tied atop the B1G in total sacks this season. Both have gotten home 5.5 times this fall, the highest total in the conference through 7 weeks. Panasiuk has collected 23 tackles, 8.5 for loss, forced a fumble and broken up a pass. Hutchinson is at 24 stops with 6 for loss and a forced fumble.

In two weeks, Michigan and Michigan State will go head-to-head to restore their rivalry in what should be one of the best games of the B1G season. It should be fun to watch Panasiuk and Hutchinson in that game, as well.
