Deion Sanders is a hot commodity on the coaching market and rumors about him entertaining Colorado have been confirmed by ‘Prime Time’ himself. This time of year things are rapidly changing for programs and situations are consistently in flux not only for players but coaches as well.

Sanders has garnered tons of attention from his recent success as Jackson State’s head coach. He brought the JSU Tigers into the national spotlight and has been rumored to be in the running for several Power 5 jobs.

Sanders took over a struggling program at Jackson State, an HBCU that plays in the Southwestern Athletic Conference, in September 2020. In his first full season, Sanders won 11 games and this year’s 11-0 team will make another appearance in the SWAC Championship Game.

Colorado has done nothing but struggle in recent history and this year has been especially difficult for the Buffaloes. In 2022, Colorado won one game against Cal in overtime and is currently 1-11 overall.

Sanders has started his head coaching career with tremendous success and will likely continue to receive offers from several national programs.
