Deion Sanders got emotional giving his final pregame speech to his team at Jackson State Saturday ahead of the team’s final game against North Carolina Central.
The NFL legend took over as head coach of Jackson State and immediately put the HBCU on the map, drawing national attention and even visits from ESPN’s College GameDay. It is safe to say Sanders had a great impact in his two seasons as head coach of Jackson State.
After the regular season ended, Sanders accepted the head coach job at Colorado, bringing his run at Jackson State to an end.
Sanders still addressed his team one last time before the final game of a successful season, and he couldn’t help but get emotional when talking to his players one last time.
Sanders and Jackson State have the chance to finish the season 13-0 if they are able to win their bowl game Saturday afternoon.
