The NFL’s Detroit Lions will be taking part in a popular HBO series this summer.
The franchise announced the news on Monday morning that the Lions will be the featured team in HBO’s Hard Knocks. The documentary series focuses in on summer training camps for NFL teams.
Each year, HBO focuses in on one team in the NFL.

“We are excited about the opportunity to showcase the City of Detroit and the amazing culture we are building at the Lions,” Detroit Lions president and CEO Rod Wood said, per The Detroit News. “HBO Sports and NFL Films are the best of the best and we know they will be excellent partners in sharing our story with football fans around the world.”
Hard Knocks made its debut back in 2001 and has won numerous Emmy Awards in the Sports categories. The show has run for 17 seasons.
