Dillon Gabriel spoke to CBS Sports’ Jenny Dell after Oregon’s 38-9 win over Illinois on Saturday. Three different Ducks — Tez Johnson, Justius Lowe, and Noah Whittington — had touchdown catches, while Gabriel and Whittington added scores on the ground.

“That’s the way it should be,” Gabriel said. “I’m proud of everyone. We got a lot of guys (that) when they get the ball in their hands, they can do great things. So, proud of them and excited for them.”

Gabriel’s 3 touchdown passes gave him 143 for his career, passing Kellen Moore for second in FBS history and 12 behind Case Keenum for the most all-time. Despite that, the Ducks quarterback stated that his focus is on getting victories.

“(I’m) just not a big individual accolades guy,” he said. “I’m chasing wins, and I think that’s the most important thing. I got a bunch of guys that put a lot of time and effort into it, and I’m just blessed to be a part of it.”

So far, the Ducks have done nothing but win in 2024. They’re 8-0 and will remain ranked No. 1 when the updated polls are released on Sunday.

Up next is a trip to Ann Arbor to face Michigan, a 3:30 kickoff from Michigan Stadium.
