Early post-whistle scuffle, stomp punctuate chippy start to Army-Navy game
The start of the Army-Navy game is not lacking for action with some of it even coming after the whistle in the first quarter.
A traditionally low-scoring affair between triple-option offenses, Army and Navy combined for 17 first-quarter points. The opening period featured some big plays, including Army throwing for 61 yards through the air.

As the two sides settle into the second quarter, one scene of extracurricular activities after the whistle was shared on social media. In the aftermath of one play, a Navy defender latched onto and would not let go of the ankle of Anthony Adkins.
After struggling to try and break free, Adkins eventually delivered what appeared to be a stomp to the chest of the defender. Adkins’ actions drew a flag on the play, but none was delivered to Navy.

Hopefully, the action stays intense and close but without further incidents after the whistle.
