We still don’t know if the college football season will start on time. There’s been no indication on whether or not nonconference games will still be played. But what we do have, at least for the time being, are some early Week 1 betting spreads for the B1G.
On Wednesday night, Circa Sports released the Week 1 betting spreads for seven games that involve 10 B1G teams. In the first week of the season, there are three conference showdowns while eight other games will feature out-of-league opponents.
The B1G season (currently) is scheduled to begin on Thursday, Sept. 3 with Minnesota hosting Florida Atlantic. The first B1G game of the season is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 4 when Indiana travels to Wisconsin.
Four B1G teams were not included on Circa Sports’ release, as they will play FCS opponents. Those teams are: Illinois (Illinois State), Iowa (Northern Iowa), Maryland (Towson) and Rutgers (Monmouth).
Below are the spreads for the Week 1 B1G bouts:
- Florida Atlantic vs. Minnesota (-18)
- Indiana vs. Wisconsin (-17)
- Northwestern (-1) vs. Michigan State
- Bowling Green vs. Ohio State (-52)
- Kent State vs. Penn State (-35)
- Michigan (-1) vs. Washington
- Purdue vs. Nebraska (-4)
