Things took an ugly turn in the final seconds of Thursday’s Quick Lane Bowl.

The game between Eastern Michigan and Pitt was a good one with plenty of fireworks in the fourth quarter. The two teams combined for 24 points in the final quarter with Pitt taking the lead on a late touchdown. Unfortunately, the ending of the game overshadowed the other highlights.

Following the conclusion of one play in the final minute, Eastern Michigan QB Mike Glass III was involved in an altercation with multiple Pitt players. It started with a punch or slap to the facemask of one player, but it did not stop there.

Another Pitt player got in the face of Glass as an official tried to step in between the two players. Glass threw another punch directed at the player, but he hit the official in the process.

He was ejected from the final moments of the game:

After the game, EMU head coach Chris Creighton addressed the ejection. Creighton said he was embarrassed and took responsibility for the actions of his players:

That is definitely not the way EMU wanted to end their season.
