One of the most popular ESPN figures has signed off the network for the final time.
Late Monday night, longtime ESPN host Kenny Mayne signed off of SportsCenter for one last time. Over the course of his career with the network, Mayne had become one of the most popular and entertaining fixtures. His dry sense of humor was always a fan favorite for anyone watching ESPN.
Mayne didn’t disappoint during his final sign-off, either. Here’s the clip of Mayne’s last time hosting ESPN’s SportsCenter:

“I am leaving ESPN. Salary cap casualty,” Mayne wrote on Twitter two weeks ago. “I will miss the people. i will miss the vending machine set up over by the old Van Pelt joint. We had everything.”
Mayne got his first opportunity with the network in 1994 and was utilized in a number of different roles throughout his career, including a host on SportsCenter.
