ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit, one of college football’s most recognizable names, dropped his latest top four teams in the nation following another awesome weekend of action.

If the season ended today, he’d have Ohio State and Michigan in the College Football Playoff:

Michigan was off this week but is 6-0 with a nation-leading average margin of victory of 39.7 points per game. Ohio State ranks second in this category (36.5) after its 20th straight road win, beating Wisconsin in Madison, 30-23 in overtime.

ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) projects both teams to be undefeated when they meet in the regular season finale on Nov. 26 — something that hasn’t happened since the 2006 “Game of the Century” when No. 1 Ohio State beat No. 2 Michigan, 42-39, for rights to a national championship bid.

Please make this happen, College Football Gods.
