Bill Connelly sees a pair of Big Ten teams in the College Football Playoff at the end of the 2023 season.

ESPN analysts made a series of predictions about the upcoming season, and Playoff picks were on the list. Connelly has Georgia, Michigan, Oregon and Ohio State in the final 4.

Of the 8 analysts predictions, the most popular 2 teams were Alabama and Georgia, which were on all but 2 of the analysts’ picks.

The Ohio State-Michigan game itself draws national interest, but the possibility of having both teams in the mix elevates it even more.

Buckeyes coach Ryan Day received criticism for the 2 losses to Michigan the past two seasons, and that will only increase in 2023. Day has said he might alter who calls offensive plays to give himself more opportunity to coach the entire team so that the team doesn’t suffer another season-ending loss.

Michigan is returning running back Blake Corum and several big offensive pieces for 2023, which should put them in the conversation for one of the top teams coming into the season.
