This week’s picks from the writers at ESPN for the top four teams in the College Football Playoffs picture are in, and there’s not much different from last week.

Both Alabama and Ohio State were not on the field this week due to COVID-19 issues, while Clemson was idle due to their built in bye week on the schedule. With the trio of top teams home for the week, not much has changed.

Several writers gave Notre Dame the nod over Ohio State, after the Irish easily handled Boston College on the road with a 45-31 victory Saturday afternoon.

Andrea Adelson, Heather Dinich, David M. Hale, Sam Khan Jr. and Chris Low each gave the Irish the No. 2 spot over the Buckeyes. The only other difference was writer Bill Connelly dropped Clemson from the No. 4 spot in lieu of Cincinnati. The Bearcats climb into the mix following a 55-17 victory over East Carolina on Friday night.
