Peyton and Eli Manning will finally be part of the Monday Night Football production from ESPN. The network made the big announcement on Monday afternoon.
ESPN released a statement on Monday saying that Peyton and Eli will headline a Monday Night Football MegaCast on ESPN2 and ESPN+ for the next three seasons (2021-23). The network will work with Peyton’s Omaha Productions company.
The production will cover 10 games each season and will begin with the 2021 NFL campaign.
Peyton and Eli will be on the broadcast crew from a remote location and celebrities and iconic former and current players will join the production. It will be running as a complement to the tradition telecast of Monday Night Football that runs on ESPN or ABC every week.
From ESPN:
“Offering multiple Monday Night Football viewing options for the next three seasons continues our innovation efforts and provides additional value for our fans,” said Jimmy Pitaro, Chairman of ESPN and Sports Content. “Peyton and Eli will bring a different approach, delving into conversation about broader, big-picture topics while also honing in on the game, much like fans do when watching with their family and friends.”
The MegaCast will debut for the first three weeks of the NFL season. The other seven dates will be announced at a later time.
