The traditions that come with college football is what makes the sport so special and unique. It’s also why so many people have several college towns on their bucket list to visit for a Saturday afternoon in the fall.
Recently, ESPN went through the process of listing the best tradition for each team ranked in the preseason top 25. Six of those teams were from the B1G, so ESPN put a list together nominating the best tradition for each program.
Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Iowa were all mentioned in the list. Here’s what ESPN labeled as the best tradition for each of those programs:
- No. 5: Ohio State — Beating Michigan
- No. 7: Michigan — The Winged Helmet
- No. 13: Penn State — White Out Games
- No. 20: Nebraska — Tunnel Walk
- No. 21: Wisconsin — Jump Around
- No. 23: Iowa — The Iowa Wave
While all of these traditions are special in their own way, we can probably all agree that the Iowa Wave is the most popular and has become the best in college football.
Which of these traditions is your favorite?
