It’s here. We’ve officially reached August, the month in which the college football season finally gets underway. Congratulations on surviving another long offseason.
ESPN kicked off the month in loud fashion on Wednesday morning, unveiling its preseason power rankings entering the start of the 2018 campaign. Unfortunately, there was very little drama at the top of the list.
While Alabama and Clemson led the way in ESPN’s rankings, Ohio State was the highest-rated B1G team, coming in at No. 3, just behind the two powerhouse programs. Four other B1G teams — Penn State, Wisconsin, Michigan and Michigan State — also made the list.
All five teams fell inside the Top 13 spots.
