There was some major jostling in ESPN’s top five power rankings after a pair of top five teams took a tumble in Week 9.

Sunday morning, ESPN unveiled its most recent power rankings, which included a few new faces in the mix. While there was no change along the top — Alabama still sits at No. 1 — there were plenty of changes elsewhere.

Georgia came in at the No. 2 spot, followed by Notre Dame at No. 3. Clemson and Ohio State rounded out the top five, occupying the final two places heading into Week 10.

Four of the top five teams won on Saturday, while Alabama was on the bye. Notre Dame and Ohio State were the only teams to knock off ranked opponents, as the Irish beat No. 14 N.C. State and the Buckeyes took down No. 2 Penn State.

ESPN’s top five is similar to Kirk Herbstreit’s updated top four, though the college football analyst has Ohio State sitting at No. 4 and Clemson as the odd one out.

The power rankings grow in significance this week as the first College Football Playoff rankings will be released on Tuesday evening.
