ESPN to air special as NFL drops 2020 league schedule tonight
ESPN will be airing a lengthy special to break down the 2020 NFL schedule, according to a report from network reporter Adam Schefter.
Thursday, the NFL will release its complete, 17-week schedule for the upcoming season. The league is planning to play the entire season with no delays and stadiums operating at capacity come fall. However, the league has acknowledged that it will make adjustments if it’s necessary.
Per Schefter, ESPN will air a three-hour special with the NFL releasing its schedule on Thursday. It will highlight key matchups and schedule flexibility for the upcoming season.

ESPN’s networks enjoyed success while airing the NFL Draft last month. Though the league was forced to go to a virtual draft due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, millions of people tuned in for the three-day, seven-round event that was aired on ESPN, ABC and NFL Network.
Tonight’s special on ESPN is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET.
