ESPN unveils Week 1 broadcast schedule, other prime time games
Now that we’re finally less than 100 days away from the college football season, more and more is starting to come into focus.
Watch lists are being released, All-Conference teams are being selected and kickoff and broadcast schedules are finally being announced.
ESPN recently released the broadcast schedule for the first week of the season, as well as some of the prime time events in Week 2 and Week 3. And the B1G has plenty of coverage from ESPN and ABC.
The first week is loaded, as Ohio State, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and Penn State will all have their opening games aired on either ESPN or ABC.
Ohio State has been guaranteed two prime time slots in the first two weeks, thanks to an early conference matchup against Indiana before a colossal showdown against Oklahoma.
Here’s the first glance at the B1G games that will be airing on ESPN or ABC through in Week 1 (all times are Eastern):
Thursday, Aug. 31
- Ohio State vs. Indiana (8 p.m., ESPN)
Friday, Sept. 1
- Utah State vs. Wisconsin (9 p.m., ESPN)
Saturday, Sept. 2
- Akron vs. Penn State (12 p.m., ABC)
- Florida vs. Michigan (3:30 p.m., ABC)
Saturday, Sept. 9 (Week 2)
- Oklahoma vs. Ohio State (7:30 p.m., ABC)
