ESPN updates CFB Playoff picks after Week 4
Another week, another College Football Playoff prediction.
Every Sunday, four college football reporters from ESPN re-evaluate their CFB Playoff picks. Last weekend, the four teams were unanimous, as everyone had Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and Ohio State in the mix, though the seeds varied.
This week, a fifth team worked its way back into the conversation.
Here were the picks from ESPN reporters Andrea Adelson, Edward Aschoff, Chris Low and Mark Schlabach:
- Adelson: No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Clemson, No. 3 Georgia, No. 4 Ohio State
- Aschoff: No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Clemson, No. 3 Ohio State, No. 4 Oklahoma
- Low: No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Clemson, No. 3 Ohio State, No. 4 Georgia
- Schlabach: No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Ohio State, No. 3 Georgia, No. 4 Clemson
Alabama is still the consensus No. 1 and Clemson is No. 2 almost across the board. Ohio State was listed as high as No. 2 and as low as No. 4. The fifth team in the picture this week was Oklahoma.
While Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State have looked like the most dominant teams in the sport, it’s only been four weeks. We still have eight games left on the schedule, plenty of time to see some major changes.
We’ll check back in next week and see if these picks hold up.
