For the first time all year, we’ve got a legitimate conversation in the College Football Playoff debate.
On Sunday, ESPN reporters updated their CFB Playoff predictions after Week 4 action. And while the four teams have been pretty unanimous over the last few weeks, there are a few differing opinions this week.
Everyone believes Alabama is the No. 1 seed. It’s pretty hard to dispute that. And all four think Ohio State is a lock, too. After that, though, there’s a plenty of differences. Here’s a look at the picks for the four ESPN reporters; Andrea Adelson, Edward Aschoff, Chris Low and Adam Rittenberg:
- Adelson: No. 1 Alabama; No. 2 Ohio State; No. 3 Georgia; No. 4 Notre Dame
- Aschoff: No. 1 Alabama; No. 2 Clemson; No. 3 Ohio State; No. 4 Oklahoma
- Low: No. 1 Alabama; No. 2 Ohio State; No. 3 Clemson; No. 4 Georgia
- Rittenberg: No. 1 Alabama; No. 2 Ohio State; No. 3 Notre Dame; No. 3 Georgia
Notre Dame made its first appearance, as both Adelson and Rittenberg believe the Irish belong in the conversation. Georgia got three votes, Clemson received two and Aschoff believed Oklahoma can squeak into the Final Four.
Are things finally starting to clear up after Week 5? Or are they only getting murkier?
