ESPN updates FPI Top 25 after Week 6
Week 6 of the college football season is over already.
Time flies.
After this past weekend’s games — which of course had its expected results, upsets and absolute shocks — ESPN, which has a Football Power Index that rates each team, updated its system following the games in Week 6.
The entire top 25 can be found in the link above, but here are the B1G teams:
2. Ohio State (6-0)
5. Penn State (4-1)
6. Michigan (5-1)
11. Wisconsin (4-1)
19. Iowa (4-1)
24. Michigan State (3-2)
Ohio State continued its winning ways by beating Indiana by 23 points in Week 6, while Penn State had a bye. Not each of the teams making ESPN’s top 25 won, however, as Michigan State lost to Northwestern at home 29-19.
Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa enjoyed B1G wins over Maryland, Nebraska and Minnesota, respectively.
According to ESPN’s FPI, two top 25 matchups within the conference will take place in Week 7: Penn State-Michigan State and Michigan-Wisconsin.
