There were only two Week 0 games on Saturday, and yet we still saw some shifting in ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) top 25 after the first weekend of college football.
And after a quick look, there is one head-scratching placement.
In what was a sloppy contest from start to finish, Florida was able to knock off Miami 24-20 in Orlando to start the year 1-0, while the Hurricanes open the Manny Diaz era with an 0-1 mark. But the Canes still found their way inside the top 25.
The Gators, who were equally as bad, are still in the top 10, coming in at No. 9.
Still, five B1G teams made the cut for the top 25, led by Michigan in the No. 5 spot. Here’s a look at the top 25 following Week 0:
