The Heisman talk has picked up steam as mid-October conference games have had playmakers with many opportunities to make statements during massive games with playoff implications.

ESPN writers have ranked their top five Heisman contenders at the moment.

  1. QB Hendon Hooker – Tennessee
  2. QB C.J. Stroud – Ohio State
  3. QB Bryce Young – Alabama
  4. QB Caleb Williams – USC (Southern California)
  5. RB Blake Corum – Michigan

According to ESPN writers, two B1G playmakers are in the top five. Coming in second is Ohio State QB, C.J. Stroud.

Stroud and Corum will have ample opportunities to impress the committee over the final month of the season.

Michigan hosts Michigan State this weekend at 7:30 ET on ABC; Ohio State travels to No. 13 Penn State at Noon ET on FOX.
